Last weekend, a walk was held in Charleston, VA, as people fought off the rain, raising almost $1500 for families dealing with autistic children.
Eva Longoria Parker’s Twitter effort to raise money for the rebuilding of The Miriam Center in Haiti, which takes care of autistic children and those facing cerebral palsy, brought in over 540Gs, as bidders raised their donations at the opportunity to meet one of their favorite celebrities.
On October 3rd, more than 30,000 people are estimated to participate in a walk at Jones Beach State Park in New York and over 1.4 million dollars is predicted to be raised, proceeds going to the Autism Speaks foundation.
