Identify the Awareness Egg to Uncover Sweet Prizes in Road Scholar’s Easter Contest!

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Starting Monday, April 2nd, keep your eyes peeled to www.roadscholar.com for where the Easter Bunny has hid one of his special eggs.

What makes these eggs so special?  They have each been specifically designed for one of Road Scholar’s awareness trucks.

Each day a new egg is hidden on a page within the Road Scholar website.  Find where the egg has been hidden and identify which awareness truck the egg reflects.

Peter Cottontail Meets Peterbilt

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Peter Cottontail was hopping back and forth along the dock, worried as a rabbit could be when he heard a voice.easter bunny

“Who’s there?” he asked.

“It’s me, Peterbilt,” the voice said.

Peter Cottontail turned to find the sound coming from one of Road Scholar Transport’s trucks, which had been delivering a shipment.

Impressed that a truck could talk, Peter Cottontail began to tell Peterbilt what was troubling him.

“You see,” he began, “Easter is a very busy time of year for me.  We made more chocolate this year than we ever did before and I don’t know how I am going to deliver it all in one day.  Even if I could, the chocolate will melt in my basket by time I make it to every house.  Millions of children are counting on me.  If I can’t deliver this candy in time, Easter will be ruined!”

“That’s no problem at all,” Peterbilt assured his furry friend.  “For I can help you.  You see, the company that I drive for offers 24-hour expedited shipping so your chocolate will guaranteed be delivered to children before they wake up.”
“But Easter is on a Sunday!” Peter Cottontail explained.

“No problem.  Road Scholar Transport delivers 24/7 so whether it is a weekday or weekend, your candy will be delivered on-time.”

“But what about the children who live in Florida and Arizona, surely the chocolate will melt by time it is delivered,” Peter Cottontail said with fright.

“Whether it is 100 degrees outside or 10 below zero, Road Scholar’s reefers allow you to specify the temperature you desire and closely monitor your chocolate to ensure that it is transported under the right conditions.”

“This is fantastic!” Peter Cottontail exclaimed.

“They just finished unloading my trailer,” Peterbilt said.  “If you want, we can load it and I can have it delivered tomorrow.”

Happily, Peter Cottontail loaded all of his candy and chocolate into Peterbilt’s trailer and bounced with joy as he drove off.

“You’ve saved Easter!  I’ll have to tell my friend Santa Claus about this one.”

And Peter Cottontail, for the first time in days, rested knowing that his chocolate was in good hands.

Popular Chocolate Company Recalls Easter Egg Favorites

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Every year thousands of people look forward to chocolate eggs, sold around Easter for a limited time.  From caramel to peanut butter to milk chocolate centers, several varieties of this Easter treat become available for whatever your taste buds desire.

Lindt chocolate eggs

Lindt chocolates is one such company that has become popular for their chocolate creations, especially around the holidays.  But why is it so hard to find a Lindt chocolate egg lately?

Don’t worry, it’s not because the Easter bunny hid them, but because the company has issued a recall on its 16 g milk egg products, for fear that they may contain peanut butter.

For some, a little peanut butter makes the egg even better, but for people with peanut allergies, it can be a traumatic event.  Therefore, Lindt is undergoing tests on whether the chocolate is safe from peanuts, temporarily recalling the following products (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/food/news/article.cfm?c_id=206&objectid=10716031):

-Lindt Lindor Milk Egg Bag 160g

-Lindt Easter Assorted Egg Tube 160g

-Lindt Milk Egg Easter Selection Bag 170g

-Lindt Gold Bunny & Friends Tin Tube 180g

-Lindt Lindor Assorted Egg Tube 270g

-Lindt Lindor Milk Egg Tube 270g

-Lindt Lindor Assorted Egg Bag 160g

-Lindt Lindor Assorted Egg in Clear Egg Shaped Box 190g

-Lindt Gold Bunny & Friends Cube 250g

-Lindt Lindor Maitre’s Easter Egg Collection 125g

-Lindt Lindor Milk Egg in Cardboard Egg Shaped Box 100g.

Consumers who purchased these eggs are allowed to return them to their retailer for a refund, the site notes.

Don’t worry though, Lindt’s chocolate eggs will be back on the shelves soon, joining Lindt’s other Easter favorites, such as their chocolate bunnies and chicks, bundle of carrots, and spring truffles.

With expedited shipping, Road Scholar Transport will deliver your chocolate safely to stores and warehouses in time for Easter.  Our temperature protect trailers with unlimited user-defined temperature alerts will keep your chocolate safe from melting.  Visit www.roadscholar.com to learn more about the services Road Scholar provides.
