Celebrities from all over gathered round to participate in a charity poker tournament benefitting the Starkey Hearing Foundation and Pros for Africa, which help hearing impaired children in Africa.

Adrian Peterson
Singers including Jordan Sparks, comedian Steve Martin, actors, and athletes showed up at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas to play their hand, paying a $2,000 entry fee. But for thirty NFL players, it wasn’t in their game plan.
That’s right, the NFL refused to allow some of NFL’s favorites (including Adrian Peterson and Larry Fitzgerald) from playing, staying firm on their no gambling policy. The problem with this is that 100% of the proceeds were being donated to the charity…not going to the player’s own pockets. Therefore, the players had no choice but to watch, some choosing to pay the $2,000 entry fee anyway as their contribution.
Although the NFL refused to allow its players the chance to help out a good cause, it has been known to donate and spread awareness for charities ever year, including The American Breast Cancer Foundation and Autism Speaks, both of which Road Scholar Transport has awareness trailers for.
